WHITE WILLOW BARK

Known as nature’s aspirin. It contains salicin, a natural version of the main compound in aspirin. Salicin is thought to be responsible for analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in White Willow Bark by reducing the production of pain relieving chemicals in the nerves. It also doesn’t have the side effects that pharmaceutical analgesia (such as ibuprofen and aspirin) do. 

Traditional uses include;

• treatment of pain (particularly lower back and osteoarthritis)
• headache
• inflammatory conditions such as tendinitis 
• reduce fever
•  Antiseptic 
• Menstrual cramps

**Do not take with anticoagulant medication**

SUGGESTED DOSE;      
If you’re just starting out with herbs, and particularly tinctures, start off with the 6-12 drops for a few days, then increase.

Adults: 1 - 3 full droppers, once or twice a day.

Children: 1/2 - 1 dropper depending on age. Mix in juice or water.

Can also be used hourly for acute pain.
